The eucalyptus in our high tunnel have begun to sprout the cutest little branches!🌱

Every autumn, we cut down most of each eucalyptus tree until there is only about a foot of the trunk left. For any botany geeks out there, you might already know that this method of cutting down to promote new growth is called coppicing. Once we do this, the row of eucalyptus looks like a wintery forest in miniature, but by late summer they will be back to their full height of about twelve feet and we’ll have a lush forest of leafy foliage again!🌿

Hey there, it’s been a while! 👋🏼

We took an unexpectedly long break this winter and it turned out to be a huge blessing. We’re feeling well-rested and ready to welcome a new farm season again!

Just because we took time to rest doesn’t mean we haven’t kept up with seeds and other exciting things! We’ve had seedlings growing in the flower studio since January and the ranunculus sprouts are abundant in the high tunnel. This year, we’re growing twice as many ranunculus as last year and we’ll have lots of new colors to offer! (Swipe to see what these little sprouts will look like in a couple of months 💐)

We’ve been working on a lot behind the scenes and we can’t wait to share them with you soon! 😁

We are so grateful to everyone who supported the farm this year—those who attended a Flower Night, the lovely brides who carried our blooms down the aisle, first-time customers, Flower Club members, and long-time friends. We’ve been blessed beyond measure and hope that our bounty blessed you this year as well.❣️

While the Flower Stand is closed for the season, we are still offering garlic powder if you need a last minute Christmas gift.😉 Just reach out to me and we can arrange a pickup.

We’re down to the last of our Christmas wreaths. We have winter greenery sprays, dried floral wreaths, preserved eucalyptus bunches, lavender, garlic, and our fabulous garlic powder.

Our Flower Stand is toasty warm and full of Christmas cheer. 🎄

Eucalyptus is the primary foliage we use to adorn our bouquets during the warmer months, so it only feels fitting to include it in some of our Christmas wreaths as well. Not only do our Blue Hues wreaths bring a festive touch of greenery to any front door, but the cool-toned colors of the eucalyptus branches and juniper berries make it a perfect winter wreath as well, so you can leave it up long after Christmas is over! ❄️
